  2. In the "AVI Export Setting" windows, you may specify the following informations for the conversion.

2.1    Sequence -- Determine the created frame sequence.

    • Skip "goto backward frame" in main timeline: If the flash movie contain loop by using action scripts such as "goto and play 0", this option will break the loop by ignoring the action script.
    • Frame by frame in main timeline: Convert in sequential of the main timeline.
    • Normal: Convert with Flash movie's normal playback sequence.

2.2    Duration -- Specify the created frame length.

    • Start Frame: Default is 0.
    • End Frame:  Default is the Flash movie's last frame number. You may specify the "Start Frame" and "End Frame" to partially convert  it. Or give a bigger "End Frame" to convert the whole movie in his normal sequence.

2.3    Video -- choose desired video format setting.

    • Compressor: Press "Select" button to specify the codec setting for conversion.
      • Compression Codec program: Click combo box to select the suitable codec installed in your system. You have to pre-install the needed codec program in your system.
      • Compression Quality: Select from 0 to 100 for the compression quality.
      • Key Frame Interval: Specify the frame number of the video's adjacent key frames.
      • Data rate: Specify the data rate of the video.
      • You may click on the Format button for advance setting of the codec program.
    • Frame Rate: Default is the original setting of the flash movie (If you modify the value, the output video will be faster or slower than the original Flash movie). Note: if you choose "Record from current SWF file" in "Audio" setting, the frame rate will be always same as the original flash movie and cannot be changed.
    • Color Depth: Always 24 bits RGB format.

2.4    Audio -- choose the audio source to create.

    • None: No audio.
    • Record from current SWF file: Audio is recorded from current SWF file.
      • Format: Press "Select" button to choose the audio format attributes. Currently only support PCM format.
      • Recording volume: Adjust the volume level of waveform recording device. Your sound card must support waveform audio recording capability and make sure you had select it for recording audio.  Press "Advance" button to adjust detailed recording control setting.
    • From WAVE file: Using external wave file to create audio, press "Browse" button to choose the wave file. The audio data of this wave file will be merged with video data and the audio of original SWF file will be ignored.
  3. Press "OK" to create AVI file, the progress bar will pop up. If you choose "Record from current SWF file" then program will perform two phase creating. The first phase create audio and the second phase create video. It would be better to close all other running programs to obtain the best performance and audio recording quality. If you choose "None" or "From WAVE file", only one phase creating is needed. You may press "Finish" button of the progress bar to terminate the creating at any time. The partially output file still works normally.
Note: For "Record from current SWF file", if you press " Finish" button during the create audio phase, the maximum length of created AVI file is depends on the actual length of recorded audio, not "End Frame" in the "Duration" you specify.

TIPS for sample file conversion (flashants_logo.swf): The sample flash movie contains 23 frames and action scripts to control the sequences. To convert the full animation cycle you have to enlarge the "End Frame" number in the AVI Export Setting dialog box and use the normal sequence.
